REGIONAL SUPPORT CENTER, GREATER COLOMBO

The Regional Support Center, Greater Colombo is headed by a Deputy General Manager and assisted by two Asst. General Managers.

It covers entire Colombo District. The number of service connections are 640,000.

The sources of supply of water to the Greater Colombo area are Ambatale, Kalatuwawa and Labugama.

The Ambatale Treatment Plant has a capacity produce 100 million gallons per day. Similarly the Kalatuwawa Treatment lant has a capacity to produce 20 million galond of water per day. The capacity of the Labugama Treatment Plant is 20 million gallons of water per day.

In order to ensure satisfactoty operation of th systems, the Greater Colombo RSC has been decided in to five Divisions headed Managers. They are Towns North of Colombo (TNC), Towns South of Colombo (TSC), Towns East of Colombo North (TEC-North), Towns East of Colombo South (TEC South) and Colombo City Center (CC). In addition the Head Works are handled by an Asst. General Manager.
